Job Title Clinical Notes Abstractor/Annotator

Job Location Remote

Job Duration: Long term contract

General Job Duties

• Review unstructured medical notes, including physician narratives, discharge summaries, progress notes, imaging reports, and pathology reports in unstructured EHR.
• Extract clinically relevant data and enter into electronic case report forms.
• Review and provide feedback on draft case report forms after pilot review.
• Collaborate with research scientists and clinical expert adjudicators to provide feedback on clinical notes review processes.
• Attend training sessions for individual projects.
• Support external project meetings.
• Support internal project meetings.

Requirements

Minimum:

• Background in a medical, nursing, or healthcare-related field (e.g., RN, MD, MBBS, PharmD, medical scribe, clinical research coordinator) .
• Strong understanding of clinical terminology, medications, and common diagnostic procedures.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions with precision.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting clinical documentation in English.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in clinical research involving data abstraction.
• Ability to work independently and meet quality and productivity targets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.

Education

• Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
